This page was invented to be somewhat of a recommendation for anyone who is interested in listening to some music I have found to be very enjoyable.
I listen to a wide variety of music, but the three central types of music that my taste is based around are trance, modern rock, and pop. Other types of music I listen to less often include punk (Bad Religion, Face to Face, Pennywise, Lagwagon), rap/r&b (2pac, Notorious BIG), and industrial (Nine Inch Nails). I currently have 2,907 albums.

I began listening to trance/techno around fall of 2000. This is the newest type of music I have come to love, and I still consider myself to be an amateur in this hugely-expanding genre. Out of the ~310 trance albums I currently own, my favorite so far is Armin van Buuren's 'Boundaries of Imagination - Disc 1'. Second favorite is DJ Mystik's 'Crystal Skies'.
![]() Armin van Buuren - 76; Boundaries of Imagination My favorite trance album EVER. This is the most unbelievably emotionally stimulating and elating trance compilation I have heard. If I ever find another one as good as this, I don't know WHAT I'll do...... 76, released in 2003, is Armin's first
artist album and, without question, displays his talent to its fullest
extent. Burned With Desire, featuring vocals from Justine
Suissa, is unbelievably good -- up there as one of my favorite trance songs.
Yet Another Day, featuring vocals from Ray Wilson (from Genesis --
yeah, the group Phil Collins was in), was a HUGE radio success overseas. Looking forward to Armin's second artist album sometime early 2005.
Emotional Technology is BT's 2003 follow-up to his hugely successful MISL. Somnambulist is this albums biggest hit and catchiest song -- very well done, and a great introduction piece to BT's newer style. Force of Gravity is my second fav song on the album -- kinda cool because it features unique vocals from ex-Nsync JC Chasez.

![]() DJ Doboy - Trancequility Megamix Collections See my separate page devoted entirely to DJ Doboy and his amazing collection of mixes. And for what it's worth... I own EVERY album in existence by this incredible artist. Doboy is also in charge of the Digitally Imported playlist.
Two Worlds album includes some of my all-time fav's: The Summer, and Fields of Love (featuring York). Let U Go is an extremely catchy and good tune, but I don't think it's as good as the version done by DJ Mystik on the album 'Crystal Skies'. No Silence is ATB's 2004 return and is surely one of his best albums. From start to finish, this album is ATB's talent unleashed -- every instrument is played by the man himself (and there's quite a variety of them). It sounds quite a bit different than his previous huge albums (Movin' Melodies and Two Worlds), but somehow he has managed to incorporate the styles of those albums into the new sound found on No Silence. Ecstacy is without a doubt the best tune on the album -- absolutely breathtaking. Circular Symmetry is my second favorite -- sort of chill and catchy.
Just Be is Tiesto's 2004 release -- his
second artist album, following up In My Memory. Songs like
Sweet Misery and Walking On Clouds definitely follow through with
Tiesto's amazing and unique style. Love Comes Again is a
masterful tune with vocals from newly-vocal BT.

Check back for updates to this section... I wanted to get the Trance section going before attempting anything else!

So Long, Astoria
Released 03.04.03
Favorite tracks: In This Diary, entire album is good..
I really enjoyed this album, so I looked further into this group.
The band has actually been around for a while, and their music sounds very
similar all the way back to the oldest album I was able to acquire (Anywhere
But Here - 04.29.97). Their songs all seem to have similar themes, as
well -- most are reminiscent and seem to be about women. Side note: I was
a little disappointed with the Boys of Summer remake -- the original is
just fine as it is, not to mention that DJ Sammy has just remade this
song as well on the album "Heaven".

Fallen
Released 03.04.03
Favorite tracks: Bring Me To Life, My Immortal
Debut album from this group. Tori Amos-esque soft
piano melodies and female vocals, yet backed up later with thrashing guitars and
Disturbed-like male vocals. Definitely a new sound... check it out!

Meteora
Reanimation
Hybrid Theory
Released 03.25.03 Released 07.30.02 Released 10.24.00
Favorite tracks: Meteora- Numb, Breaking The Habit.
Reanimation- none in particular. Hybrid Theory- In The End,
entire album!
Once known as the band "Hybrid Theory", Linkin
Park has evolved from their debut album by this name into their latest album
"Meteora". The first single from the album, Somewhere I
Belong holds true to much of what made this band so popular. A little
piano, some DJ cutting, a lot of guitar, and a message that today's youth can
strongly relate to.

Favorite tracks: Finch- Letters To You, Three Simple Words, Waiting
For You. Something Corporate- I Woke Up In A Car, You're Gone
Yes, that's right... these two bands get stuck together on my list.
Why? Because they both sound very similar, both had their hugely
successful debut albums released at around the same time, and both have
strikingly similar lyrics/themes. And both delineate my emotional
situation with women so well. So check out both of these albums --
both are worth listening to in their entirety.
